1. Agreement to Terms

By using our services or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

Sharp Glimmer provides professional appliance repair services for household appliances including but not limited to washing machines, refrigerators, dishwashers, and ovens. We serve customers in Birmingham and surrounding areas in the United Kingdom.

3. Service Terms

3.1 Appointments and Scheduling

• Appointments must be scheduled in advance
• We offer same-day service subject to availability
• 24 hours notice is required for appointment cancellations
• Emergency services are available with additional charges

3.2 Service Area

Our services are available within a 25-mile radius of Birmingham city center. Additional travel charges may apply for locations outside our standard service area.

4. Pricing and Payment

4.1 Pricing

• All prices are quoted in British Pounds (GBP)
• Diagnostic fees apply to all service calls
• Written quotes will be provided before any repair work begins
• Emergency service calls incur additional charges

4.2 Payment Terms

• Payment is due upon completion of services
• We accept cash, card, and bank transfers
• Late payment charges may apply to overdue accounts

5. Warranties and Guarantees

5.1 Service Warranty

All repairs are covered by a 12-month warranty covering both parts and labor, subject to normal use conditions.

5.2 Parts Warranty

Genuine manufacturer parts carry the manufacturer's warranty. All other parts carry a minimum 12-month warranty.

5.3 Warranty Exclusions

Warranty does not cover:

• Damage due to misuse or neglect
• Normal wear and tear
• Damage from external factors (power surges, floods, etc.)
• Modifications made by unauthorized persons

6. Customer Responsibilities

• Provide safe and adequate access to appliances
• Ensure appliances are disconnected from power when required
• Provide accurate information about appliance issues
• Be present during service appointments or arrange authorized representation
• Clear the work area of personal belongings

7. Liability and Insurance

We carry comprehensive public liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the cost of the repair service provided. We are not liable for consequential or indirect damages.

8. Cancellation and Refunds

8.1 Cancellation by Customer

• 24 hours notice required for free cancellation
• Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur charges
• No-show appointments are subject to full diagnostic fee

8.2 Cancellation by Sharp Glimmer

We may cancel appointments due to extreme weather, technician illness, or other circumstances beyond our control. Full refunds will be provided for any payments made.

9. Health and Safety

Our technicians follow strict health and safety protocols. Customers must inform us of any hazardous conditions at the service location.

10. Data Protection and Privacy

We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will first be addressed through direct negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of English courts.

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, or government actions.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with the revision date.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
